On March 24th, 2023, the University of Khanh Hoa held a welcoming ceremony for the Laotian Embassy Delegation, who visited and worked with the university.
The delegation met with Laotian students who were studying at the University of Khanh Hoa. The Laotian delegation included the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam, the Cultural and Educational Counselor, the Chief Representative of the Lao Ministry of Public Security in Vietnam, the Deputy Military Attaché, the Second Secretary of the Joint Cooperation Department, and the Secretary to the Ambassador.
Represeitatives from the University of Khanh Hoa were Dr. Phan Phien - Rector, Dr. Phan Duc Ngai - Head of the Science and Technology and External Cooperation Department, Dr. Bui Van Nguyen - Head of the Training Department, Dr. Le Van Thanh - Head of the Organization - Inspection and Legal Affairs Department, Dr. Vo Tu Phuong - Head of the Foreign Language Department, M.S. Thai Thi Phuong Thao - Head of the Faculty of Pedagogy, M.S. Nguyen Thi Hong Cam - Head of the Faculty of Tourism, Dr. Bui Thi Thanh Dieu - Deputy Head of the Personnel and Administrative Affairs Department, and B.A. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang - Head of the Personnel and Administrative Affairs Department and 11 Laotian exchange students studying at the University of Khanh Hoa.

Overview of the meeting
At the meeting, Dr. Phan Phien - the Rector of the University of Khanh Hoa extended congratulations to the delegation and introduced the university's operations, development orientation, and training scale. He also provided a report on the academic and living situation of the 11 Laotian exchange students. The Rector affirmed that this was the first Laotian exchange student training program at the University of Khanh Hoa, and the university would create the best conditions to support the students in their studies and to help them complete their courses. The University of Khanh Hoa would also regularly monitor and exchange information on the students' academic progress to Attapuw and Champasak provinces. Finally, the Rector hoped that the students, after graduation, would return to their home country to apply what they have learned to contribute to the development of Laos. The Laotian Ambassador expressed his pleasure and gratitude for the warm welcome extended by the University of Khanh Hoa.

The working session was conducted in a happy, friendly, and open atmosphere. Through the exchange of opinions between the two partners has contributed to nurturing the loyal friendship and transparency between Vietnam and Laos. Immediately after the working session, the delegation had a meeting with Laotian students studying at the University of Khanh Hoa. The Laotian Ambassador advised and encouraged the students to study hard to serve their country, Laos.
