On September 23, 2024, the foreign mission of University of Khanh Hoa led by Dr. Phan Phien - Rector, paid an official visit to Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, StudyPerth International Student Support Center and JTSI, Australia for a period of 03 days, from September 23, 2024 to September 25, 2024.
Attending the meeting, on the side of University of Khanh Hoa, Dr. Phan Phien - Rector; Dr. Phan Duc Ngai – Head of Science, Technology and External Cooperation Office; Dr. Le Cong Hoan – Head of Academic Office; Dr. Nguyen Huu Thai Thinh – Deputy Dean, in charge of the Faculty of Tourism; M.A Nguyen Phuong Thuy, Deputy Head of Department, in charge of English Department, Faculty of Foreign Languages.
On the side of Curtin University, Australia, there is Prof. Linley Lord, Global Vice-Principal; Prof. Kirsten Holmes, School of Management and Marketing; Prof. Michael Volgger, Co-Director of Tourism Research Cluster, School of Management and Marketing; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Htwe Htwe Thein, School of Management and Marketing; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lien Duong, School of Accounting, Economics and Finance; Mr. Nigel de Silva, Director of Transnational Education and Partnership; Ms. Michelle Sim, Global Partnership Consultant.
On the side of Edith Cowan University, Australia, there is Prof. Helen Vella Bonavita, Principal; Simon Davies Burrows, International Managing Director; Ryan Zhang, International Training Director (Vietnam).
On the side of StudyPerth and JTSI, Australia, there are Ms. Derryn Belford; Ms. Natasha Warnock-Lai, Senior Business Development Officer for International Education, Strategy and International Cooperation.
At the meetings with Curtin University, Edith Cowan University and the Student Support Center, StudyPerth and JTSI international students, after listening to the reports of the universities on the university governance model; training and research scale; potential strengths in training, scientific research and community service of each unit, leaders of universities agreed to assign units to advise on research and soon implement cooperation activities in accordance with the potential, advantages and vision, mission and core values of each unit, such as: organizing International Conference on Tourism at University of Khanh Hoa in 2025; developing programs and organizing practical experiences for students and lecturers of universities in Australia and Vietnam; researching international publication, implementing the topic, general scientific project; and research on a 2 +2 international training organization plan (Degree granted by University of Khanh Hoa and Curtin University, Edith Cowan University); Coordinate with StudyPerth International Student Support Center and JTSI, Australia to research and establish a center to support Vietnamese students wishing to study in Australia; research and soon sign a memorandum of cooperation with Curtin University, Edith Cowan University.
