On the afternoon of January 22, 2025, University of Khanh Hoa solemnly welcomed the Deputy Minister of Education and Training of the Republic of Vanuatu to visit and work at the University.
Attending the meeting, on the side of the Ministry of Education and Training of the Republic of Vanuatu, there were: Mr. Bergmans IATI, Deputy Minister of Education and Training of Vanuatu; Mr. Robbie IAUKO, Executive Director of the Procurement Division; Mr. Paulo Jean-Michel MAXIMO, Regional Officer for Europe, Africa, Middle East and Americas (Francophone Organization, Commonwealth, France & England) and Mr. Tran Nam Trung, Consul General of Vanuatu in Ho Chi Minh City.
Welcoming the Ministry of Education and Training of the Republic of Vanuatu are: Mr. Phan Phien – Rector – Chair; Mr. Chu Dinh Loc – Vice Rector; Mr. Phan Duc Ngai – Head of Science, Technology and External Cooperatio Office; Mr. Le Cong Hoan – Head of Training Office; Mr. Nguyen Dang Duc – Head of Administration – Equipment Administration Office; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Cam – Head of Student Affairs Office; Ms. Thai Thi Phuong Thao – Head of Faculty of Education and Ms. Nguyen Huu Thai Thinh – In charge of the Faculty of Tourism.

Mr. Phan Phien – Rector of the University expressed his pleasure to welcome the Deputy Minister of Education and Training - Republic of Vanuatu and the members of the delegation who visited the University and wished the delegation a successful business trip. He agreed on the content as in the Draft Memorandum of Agreement between University of Khanh Hoa and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vanuatu. After obtaining the permission of the competent authorities, the two sides will sign an MOU and implement cooperation. University of Khanh Hoa looks forward to welcoming Vanuatu's students soon. At the meeting, Mr. Phan Phien, Rector of the University, respectfully invited the Ministry of Education and Training of Vanuatu to attend the international scientific conference "Effective tourism development in the trend of integration" held on August 1 - 2, 2025 at University of Khanh Hoa.

On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training of the Republic of Vanuatu, Mr. Bergmans IATI, Deputy Minister of Education and Training of Vanuatu thanked the leaders of University of Khanh Hoa for a warm and thoughtful welcome and wished the school a happy Lunar New Year. He emphasized the history of diplomatic relations between Vanuatu and Vietnam, Vanuatu is eager to enroll and send students to study in Vietnam. Mr. Bergmans IATI expressed his desire to quickly promote the signing of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Training of Vanuatu and University of Khanh Hoa, and at the same time discuss the content of the Draft Memorandum of Agreement between University of Khanh Hoa and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vanuatu (MOU). After signing, Vanuatu will soon enroll Vanuatu students to study at University of Khanh Hoa.

The meeting was held in a fun, friendly and open manner; through the opinions exchanged between the two sides, it contributed to fostering the friendship between Vietnam and Vanuatu. University of Khanh Hoa sent Mr. Phan Duc Ngai, Head of the Office of Science, Technology and External Cooperation to continue connecting and exchanging with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vanuatu; Consulate General of Vanuatu in Ho Chi Minh City to concretize the content of the meeting, implement MOU signing and receive Vanuatu students in the coming time.
