On the afternoon of June 14, 2025, in Meeting Room 1, Khanh Hoa University held a closing ceremony and awarded the course completion transcript to student Paul Laurant from the European Academy of Art in Brittany, France. Paul had attended fine arts courses at Khanh Hoa University during the 2024–2025 academic year under the Memorandum of Pedagogical Cooperation between Khanh Hoa University and the European School of Art in Bretagne, France.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Dr. Tran Viet Thien congratulated Paul Laurant on successfully completing the course with excellent results and expressed hope that when returning to France, Paul would act as a cultural ambassador for Khanh Hoa University. He also extended his gratitude to the leadership and lecturers of the Faculty of Arts for their dedicated teaching and support throughout Paul’s studies. M.A. Nguyen Van Tu — Vice Dean in charge of the faculty of Arts— acknowledged Paul’s efforts and diligence during his time at the university, and hoped that Paul would take away many fond memories and lasting impressions of the university and the beautiful coastal city of Nha Trang where he had lived and studied.

In his sharing at the ceremony, Paul Laurant expressed his joy and pride at having had the opportunity to study at Khanh Hoa University. He expressed deep appreciation for the guidance and support from the university’s leadership, lecturers, and departments. During his time in Nha Trang, he also had the chance to explore the city, experience Vietnamese culture and people, and especially enjoyed Vietnamese dishes such as com tam (Vietnamese broken rice), banh mi and pho... Moreover, Paul noted that he had learned many valuable lessons from traditional Vietnamese fine arts courses — techniques unavailable anywhere else in the world. Though the program was short, he gained invaluable knowledge and felt inspired by the dedication of his instructors. Since then, he and the students who used to study here have had more passion for the profession they had chosen.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Tran Viet Thien presented the course transcript to Paul Laurant and posed for commemorative photographs with the French student.

It is hoped that the cooperation between the two institutions will continue to strengthen and flourish in order to provide more opportunities for other students to study and experience life at Khanh Hoa University.
