On the afternoon of January 14th, 2026, at Meeting Room 1 of University of Khanh Hoa (UKH), a working session was held between the leadership of UKH and the delegation from Daegu National University of Education (DNUE), Republic of Korea, to discuss and promote cooperation in the coming period, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in education and scientific research.

Attending the meeting on behalf of Daegu National University of Education were Prof. Bae Sang-Sik, President of the University, along with professors representing the Departments of Mathematics Education, Computer Science, Physical Education, and English Education; representatives from the Office of Student Affairs, the Planning Office, and the International Coordinator. Khanh Hoa University was represented by Dr. Phan Phien, President; Mr. Van Ngoc Sen, Party Secretary; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chu Dinh Loc, Vice President; Dr. Tran Viet Thien, Vice President, together with heads of relevant departments and offices.
In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Phan Phien expressed his pleasure in receiving the DNUE delegation and affirmed that the partnership between the two universities serves as a key foundation for enhancing training quality, promoting scientific research, and strengthening international integration. He emphasized the growing role of AI in education and research, which aligns with the science and technology development strategy of Khanh Hoa Province.
In particular, Dr. Phan Phien noted that in the near future, the University plans to send two lecturers to study and conduct research at Daegu National University of Education in the field of technology applications. He also expressed the University’s desire to receive support from its Korean partner in professional training programs, specialized short courses, as well as Korean language classes for lecturers and students of Khanh Hoa University.

On behalf of the delegation, Prof. Bae Sang-Sik, President of Daegu National University of Education, expressed his sincere thanks for the warm reception by University of Khanh Hoa and highly appreciated the cooperation potential between the two institutions. He shared that Daegu National University of Education has extensive experience in education and research related to artificial intelligence (AI) and is willing to support and share expertise with the faculty of UKH.
At the same time, Prof. Bae Sang-Sik expressed strong agreement with the views of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chu Dinh Loc, emphasizing the desire to accelerate the establishment of joint research groups between the two universities and to strengthen collaboration in scientific research. In particular, he highlighted cooperation in editing, improving, and submitting manuscripts to the scientific journals of Khanh Hoa University, thereby contributing to improving the quality of scientific publications and the effectiveness of bilateral academic cooperation.

During the meeting, the two universities also discussed the organization of the International Conference on “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Training and Scientific Research” and agreed on cooperation priorities for the 2026–2027 period, focusing on:
• Science and technology development
• Academic training cooperation
• Exchange of lecturers and students
• Volunteer and community engagement activities
• Korean language training
• Implementation of AI education and training programs
These cooperative activities are expected to enhance the quality of education and scientific research, while expanding opportunities for learning and international exchange for lecturers and students of both universities.
