University of Khanh Hoa Welcomes a Student from the European School of Fine Arts of Brittany (France)

On the morning of April 6th, 2026, at the Office of the Faculty of Arts, University of Khanh Hoa held a formal reception for Théo LAOUCHET, a student from the European School of Fine Arts of Brittany (EESAB), France, in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two institutions. Attending the reception were leaders of the Faculty of Arts, lecturers directly involved in teaching the student, representatives from the Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, as well as lecturers from the Faculty of Foreign Languages serving as interpreters.

During an approximately eight-week period (from April 2nd to May 30th, 2026), Théo LAOUCHET undertakes three specialized courses at the Faculty of Arts, including: Woodcut and Plaster Printing (4 credits, 101 periods), Lacquer Painting (5 credits, 136 periods), and Silk Painting (4 credits, 106 periods). Designed with detailed syllabi, these courses enable the student to gain in-depth exposure to traditional Vietnamese artistic materials and techniques.

The European School of Fine Arts of Brittany has been a long-standing partner of University of Khanh Hoa. In recent years, the two institutions have carried out various meaningful collaborative activities, including exchanges of lecturers and students, as well as academic programs. Strengthening international cooperation—particularly through student exchange programs—contributes to expanding learning and internship opportunities in global environments, while enhancing students’ professional competence and adaptability in multicultural contexts.

Overview of the Student Reception Ceremony

 Speaking at the reception, Mr. Nguyen Van Tu emphasized the significance of international cooperation programs in improving training quality and broadening educational opportunities for students. He expressed his hope that Théo LAOUCHET would have a productive learning experience, gain valuable practical exposure, and serve as a cultural bridge between the two countries.

In response, Théo LAOUCHET expressed his enthusiasm about studying at University of Khanh Hoa and his desire to explore Vietnamese traditional arts more deeply, while engaging in academic exchange with faculty members and fellow students.

Immediately following the reception, the Faculty of Arts organized a campus tour for the student to visit specialized classrooms, workshops, and university facilities, and help him quickly adapt to the academic and living environment.

The international student reception program not only strengthens institutional partnerships but also fosters a dynamic and diverse academic environment, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality and the university’s international integration.
