The University of Khanh Hoa organized a ceremony to hand over students from Attapeu and Champasak provinces, Laos, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Khanh Hoa province and the two Laotian provinces from 2022-2026, as specified in the Official letter No.13014/UBND-KGVX of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

          The ceremony was held on March 1st, 2023, in the  Meeting Room No.1. Participants from Attapeu province who attended the ceremony were Ms. Pat Tha Na Thep Som Ban Dit - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Sports, Mr. Sy Sa Van Pha Thep Sa Vat - Deputy Head of the Administrative Office of the Department of Education and Sports, Mr. Bun Tha Nom Muoi Chan Thong - Deputy Head of the Planning and External Relations Division of the Department of Education and Sports, and Mr. Seng Am Phay Khot Nho Tha - Interpreter. Representative from Champasak province were Mr. OuDine Phomachanh - Deputy Head of the Inspection and Evaluation Division of the Department of Education and Sports, and Ms. Sivone Xayyasith - Specialist of the International Cooperation Division of the Department of Education and Sports, along with 11 students from the two provinces.

          Representatives from the University of Khanh Hoa were Dr. Phan Phien - Rector, Dr. Tran Viet Thien - Vice Rector, Dr. Phan Duc Ngai - Head of the Science and Technology and External Cooperation Department, Dr. Bui Van Nguyen - Head of the Training Department, Dr. Le Van Thanh - Head of the Organization - Inspection and Legal Affairs Department, Dr. Vo Tu Phuong - Head of the Foreign Language Department, MSc. Nguyen Dang Duc - Head of the Student Affairs Department, MSc. Thai Thi Phuong Thao - Head of the Faculty of Pedagogy, MSc. Nguyen Thi Hong Cam - Head of the Faculty of Tourism, Dr. Bui Thi Thanh Dieu - Deputy Head of the Personnel and Administrative Affairs Department, and B.A. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang - Head of the Personnel and Administrative Affairs Department.

          Mr. Le Dinh Thuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province - was also present as a guest.

Overview of the ceremony

          At the ceremony, Dr. Phan Phien - the Rector of the University of Khanh Hoa expressed his joy at welcoming the delegation from Attapeu and Champasak provinces, along with the Lao students. The University ò Khanh Hoa will provide all necessary facilities such as accommodation, meals, and support for the students during their study. He hopes that the students will work hard and complete their studies well to serve their country, the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

          Dr. Tran Viet Thien - Vice Rector of the University of Khanh Hoa welcomed the 11 students on behalf of the university leadership, announced the study schedule, and wished them success in their studies at the University of Khanh Hoa.

          Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Dinh Thuan - Deputy Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training emphasized: “The cooperation, training, and sports are important political tasks of Khanh Hoa province. I expects the cooperation of the two provinces in training and sports and the attention from two departments to the 11 students studying at the University of  Khanh Hoa.I wish them success in their studies and hope that they will have a great experience in Khanh Hoa province”.

        Representatives of the leadership of Attapeu province, Ms. Pat Tha Na Thep Som Ban Dit - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Sports, and representatives of the leadership of Champasak province, Mr. OuDine Phommachanh, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Sports Evaluation and Assessment expressed their joy in visiting the University of  Khanh Hoa and thanked the warm welcome from the university. The representatives of both provinces wishes to have comprehensive and strong cooperation which strengthen the great friendship between Laos-Vietnam in general and the two provinces with the University of  Khanh Hoa in particular. At the same time, the representatives of the two provinces handed over 11 students from Attapeu and Champasak provinces, Laos to the University of  Khanh Hoa for admission and enrollment.

          The handover ceremony was successful, and it is hoped that with the close attention and coordination of the provincial leadership and the enthusiastic support of the University of  Khanh Hoa, Laotian exchange students will complete their studies well and bring their knowledge to contribute to the development of Laos.
