Integration and international cooperation in the field of education and training have always been concerned and promoted by the Party and the State, reflected in the consistent policy through the Party's Directive Resolutions and the Government's Decision. Proactively integrating and cooperating internationally in education and training is one of the tasks and solutions affirmed in Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW dated November 4, 2013 of the 11th Party Central Committee on "fundamental and comprehensive renovation of education and training to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the context of socialist-oriented market economy and international integration". In order to create a forum for exchanging primary education among scientists and educators in Khanh Hoa, Vietnam and Korea, on January 10, 2024, The University of Khanh Hoa and Daegu National University of Education, Republic of Korea (DNUE) co-hosted an international scientific workshop on the topic: PRIMARY EDUCATION IN THE INTEGRATION TREND at The University of Khanh Hoa.

          Attending the seminar, the leaders of Daegu National University of Education were: Prof. Park Phanwoo - Rector of Daegu National University of Education - Head of the Workshop Organizing Committee; Prof. Lee Soojin – Deputy Head of the Workshop Organizing Committee; Prof. Bae Sangsik - Head of the Workshop Content Committee. On the part of leaders of The University of Khanh Hoa: Dr. Le Thi My Binh – Chairperson of the University Council; Dr. Phan Phien – Rector– Head of the Workshop Organizing Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chu Dinh Loc – Vice Rector – Deputy Head of the Workshop Organizing Committee and Dr. Tran Viet Thien - Vice Rector of The University of Khanh Hoa.

          Together with scientists, authors, lecturers, teachers and students from Daegu National University, universities, research institutes and general schools of Vietnam actively participated in writing articles and attended the seminar.

       After the opening ceremony, the plenary session of the workshop took place. The workshop had 2 subcommittees: the teacher training subcommittee in primary schools and the student training subcommittee in primary schools.

          The workshop gathered 80 reports on topics such as: Literacy education and primary teaching methods in Korea, AI-integrated applied education in Korean primary schools, primary education programs at Vietnamese pedagogical universities... Through the workshop, it has connected and promoted scientific research cooperation in the field of primary education between Vietnamese and Korean educational scientists and facilitated students, graduate students and young researchers in Primary Education to have the opportunity to meet, exchange and share with experts in the field of Primary Education of Vietnam and Korea.
